2008.

In a word, it would have been impossible for me to sum up 2008 in a sentence, let alone in a word. But, at a fair attempt, I would say it had been another topsy-turvy year. I had my fair share of good times, the bad times, and very bad times as well.

Let me tell you why.

For starters, New Years day 2008 was kinda, well, BORING. I was at home preparing for exams when I realised the clock was about to strike 12, and, if it was not mistaken, I was studying management. Yes people, it was that lame. Subsequently, exams came and went, and I felt I did pretty well. Second semester ended in May, and although that exam did not go as well as the first, as a whole, I would say it was a pretty good attempt.

Then came the holidays.

I underestimated 4 months. It dragged. And dragged. I was absolutely unproductive in that 4 months. The best part of it had to be the Soaring The Eagle camp at Port Dickson. Absolutely awesome stuff. Fantastic experience, exciting people, and the time spent there was truly memorable. Those of you who went there will know.

Then came the the Langkawi family trip. Despite having a fever, I thought that I enjoyed the trip. And the shopping was great...then came officially the WORST MONTH OF MY LIFE. August. Chicken fucking pox! It screwed up my month, my birthday, the start of my football season, my diet, the last days of my holidays, and what not. Jesus Christ, I get trauma everytime I think of it. Including now.

Then came first year. The degree programme. I guess starting your degree at the age of 19 does take it's toll on you. Here's a toast to the next three years!

Well, those are the good times, there are of course the bad times. Which of course, I will not mention here. Those that know, are those that know. And with that, I judge that the bad times outnumber the good times, and therefore, I classify and deduce 2008 as a bad year for me.

Here's to 2009. Hopefully, one that doesn't involve chicken pox.

ps. Shit, I'm turning 20! in 8 months!
